Cove to Pier Swim

La Jolla Cove to Scripps Pier

Due to the COVE-ID virus we can’t do our normal Pier to Cove swim.

Since everything is upside down or backwards these days, we’re gonna

do a reverse Pier to Cove, so it’ll be a Cove to Pier (CTP) swim this

year.

No registration fee, FREE. No registration at all.

No timing. If you want to know your time, bring a watch.

No T-shirts (Yay!)

No food, no coffee. BYO

No lifeguard support …. at least outside the cove.

No rules on gear. Do a “Penny” if you want, BUT not on the beach.

When you reach the pier you have several choices:

1. Turn around and swim back to the Cove (recommended)

2. Walk down the beach and swim back from the Marine Room

3. Get picked up at the Shores by a friend, Uber, Lyft, etc.

4. Walk back to the Cove

This is not an official event of the La Jolla Cove Swim Club, and the

Club assumes no liability or responsibility for participants.

If you have never swum from the Cove to the Pier, this should NOT be

your first time. You’ll be a long way from help out there.

We will not have dedicated lifeguard support; you’re on your own.

If you have a swim buoy, it would be good to use it on this swim.

Due to city rules, please don’t form groups of more than a few people on

the beach.

Show up at 8:50. There may or may not be a start announcement.
