Annual Banquet

When: Sunday, December 1, 2019, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM 

Dinner served at 6:00 PM.

Come and hang out, have a few drinks, and watch the sunset from the rear deck of the Soledad Club.

Where: Soledad Club, 5050 Soledad Road, San Diego, CA 92109.

What: Brief program with a few awards, raffle prizes, and the camaraderie of your swim buddies and fellow mermaids.

Entertainment: Live entertainment by club favorite, Robin Henkel, from 4-6 (dancing encouraged), with possible later appearances by Steve “Hornman” Dillard, “the Chilltones” or other musical groups. 

Food: Buffet dinner provided by L&L Hawaiian. We will have some vegetarian dishes. Note: We cannot cater to all diet preferences or restrictions (vegan, gluten-free, tree-nut free, Paleo, Jurassic, sticks and stones, etc.), so feel free to BYO food if you don’t want to eat Hawaiian.

Beverages: Wine and beer. The club will provide (pretty good) Costco wine, good beer and (non-bottled) water. Anyone who wants different wine or beer, or hard liquor…BYO. Bring your favorite bottle and share it with your swim buddies. We will have soft drinks with dinner.

If you want anything else, like “fizzy water,” distilled water, vitamin water, Glacier melt water from the South Pole, etc. feel free to BYO.

Cost: $10 at the door, cash or check only.

We don’t have a way to accept credit cards. Kids under 14 are free.

Attire: Wear your best Hawaiian garb: Aloha shirts, Sarongs, shell necklaces, etc.

Calendars: 2020 Swim Club calendars will be available at the door.

One calendar comes free with each paid entry WHILE SUPPLIES LAST (no guarantee), or one for each family.

Additional calendars will be sold for $10 each.

Volunteers are needed! If you are willing to help set up and/or tear down, or haul trash, send an email to Doug to let us know and show up at 3:30.
