It's also the 6th annual "Spuddo in Your Speedo" swim!! You can claim DOUBLE MILES all day!
Swim with a SPUDDO IN YOUR SPEEDO (a potato carried in your swimsuit), and you can claim an additional mile (not a double mile) for the spud.
Note: Potatoes look better in the front of a suit than in the rear.
The club will provide small and medium spuds. If you have a favorite (or pet) spud, bring your own.
Example: Swim 2 miles, get those 2 doubled, plus get 1 spud mile = 5 Big Chill miles!
Plus, if you bring your own large potato, the biggest you can find, (but no yams or sweets), and swim at least a half mile with it in your suit, you'll be a contestant in the "SPUD STUD" contest. We'll have a scale or other measuring device to weigh or measure the candidate spuds to measure whose spud was the largest. The winner will be recognized as the "SPUD STUD," and will get a $10 credit for club merchandise...good for a silicone swim cap, ball cap, fleece cap, 2 license plate frames...good that day only and limited to stock on hand.
Also, bring Shamrock goodies to share...if you're so inclined.
The club will provide coffee and muffins and a few other things.
